Dec’17 – Shopping with a Conscience
Written by Hopestore
Let me start with a huge THANK YOU to our Customers, Producers, colleagues, family and friends who have been part of making Hopestore a reality. The encouragement, support and all-round positivism is testament to how a dream can become a reality and also a source of hope for many others. We are very excited about the future.
There is no such thing as a startup without it’s challenges. We were no exception with our share of frustration in having to endure a very slow website. Fortunately, that is behind us and we will continue to improve the ease and joy of interacting with Hopestore.
We have also passed the 1,000 + products milestone and will continue to add new great products and tell you about their Producers.
Christmas is a time for giving and Kiwis are known for their generosity. This extends beyond friends and family to other less fortunate. But, more and more people are looking for charities that are more than just about handouts and spare change. We are delighted to support this notion by featuring a number of Producers, who are enabling such causes through their core business.
At the heart of those organizations lie the core values of providing quality products by enabling people to help themselves while simultaneously better communities and the environment. In the week of 11 to 15 Dec we featured some of these organizations whose products we sell, on Facebook. See below a list of a few examples of those that were featured:
Interesting products to note:
In keeping with our theme of social responsibility, here’s a great article on Seleno Health, a small family run business co-founded by a Kiwi doctor specializing in medicinal antioxidant chemistry.
The list goes on and we will keep telling their stories. If you have a similar story, we’d love to hear it. Please let us know here.
And on the topic of sharing, if you don’t already, and as a gift to us, please follow and share all this cool information on Social media using the icons below.
Till next year, Seasons’ Greetings, Safe Travels, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
Ka ki teano!
Important to note: We will not be shipping from 24 Dec’17 to 2 Jan’18. The logistics for any orders received during this time will be resumed starting Wednesday 3 January 2018.
